Dismissed Case / Acquittal

No Waiting Period for Expungement!

If your case was dismissed, or you were acquitted, you are typically eligible immediately for expungement. This is the fastest path to criminal record removal and a Clean Slate.

Misdemeanor & Category E Felony

Statutory Waiting Period Applies for Record Sealing

A waiting period starts after case closure (usually discharge from parole/probation). Misdemeanors generally require 1-2 years before record sealing can be pursued.

Felony Record Sealing (Categories A-D)

Longest Waiting Period for Sealing

Serious offenses require longer waiting periods (often 7-15 years) after case closure. Not all felonies are eligible for record sealing (Nevada does not use “expungement” for convictions).
